Principle of Assay
This kit can detect proline in plant tissues, animal tissues, cells, bacteria, serum (plasma), and other samples. Proline is extracted with sulfosalicylic acid. After heat treatment, proline reacts with acidic ninhydrin solution to produce a red product; after extraction with toluene, the absorbance is measured at 520 nm.
