Principle of Assay
This Rat F VIII ELISA Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Rat F VIII in plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
An antibody specific for F VIII has been coated on a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and the F VIII present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody. The wells are washed and Anti-F VIII Antibody (Biotin) is added. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, before a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and colour develops in proportion to the amount of F VIII bound. The Stop Solution changes the colour from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the colour is measured at 450 nm.
