Rabbit polyclonal antibody to SCF.

This antibody recognises rat stem cell factor (SCF), a type I transmembrane protein and haematopoietic growth factor which acts in synergy with other growth factors, and signals through the receptor tyrosine kinase c-Kit (CD117).The interaction between SCF and c-Kit regulates developmental and functional processes of haematopoietic progenitor cells, mast cells, myelanocytes and germ cells, and plays an important role in follicular development. The interaction between SCF and c-Kit is associated with the progression and invasiveness of some tumours, including melanomas.

1 mg/ml after reconstitution.

Reconstitute with 0.1 ml of distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Gently mix after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.

Supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline.

Lyophilized: Store at -20°C. Reconstituted: Store undiluted at -20°C, avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
