Name
Anti-Siglec 7 Antibody [S7.7] - BSA and Azide free
Description
Mouse monoclonal [S7.7] antibody to Siglec 7.
Specificity
This antibody recognises human Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 7, otherwise known as CD328, a putative adhesion molecule and member of the Ig superfamily, predominantly expressed by both resting and activated natural killer (NK) cells, and also at lower levels by monocytes, granulocytes, monocyte-derived macrophages and dendritic cells, and a small population of CD8+ memory T cells. Classed as a CD33-related Siglec, Siglec-7 preferentially binds to glycoconjugates containing alpha-2,3- or alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid, and acts as a novel inhibitory receptor for NK cells, mediating the inhibition of NK cell cytotoxicity, and implicated in the regulation of NK cell and T cell activation, and hematopoiesis. Mouse anti Human Siglec-7 antibody, cloneS7.7 is a blocking antibody , and has been shown to recognize Siglec-7 in Rhesus monkey.

Mouse anti Human Siglec-7 antibody, cloneS7.7 is a blocking antibody (Avril et al. 2006), and has been shown to recognize Siglec-7 in Rhesus monkey (Jaroenpool et al. 2007).
