Rabbit anti SKP2 antibody recognizes S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (SKP2), also known as F-box protein Skp2, p45skp2 and Cyclin-A/CDK2-associated protein p45. SKP2 is a ubiquitin ligase, a critical component of the SKP2-SCF complex (Nakayama and Nakayama 2005). It is frequently overexpressed in human cancer (Chiarle et al. 2002). Loss of SKP2 can promote senescence in response to oncogene activation (Lin et al. 2010). It plays a role in regulating cancer stem cell populations (Chan et al. 2013).
