This antibody recognises streptokinase, a metallo-enzyme produced by various strains of Streptococcus. It is 415 amino acids in length with a MW of approximately 47kDa. Streptokinase can be used as an anti thrombotic agent as it can disrupt blood clots through the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin.
