Name
Anti-TCR alpha/beta Antibody [H57-597] (FITC)
Description
Hamster monoclonal [H57-597] antibody to TCR alpha/beta (FITC).
Specificity
This antibody recognises the beta-chain of the murine alpha/beta T cell receptor and does not show any reactivity to TCR gamma/delta (Gascoigne 1990).Clone H57-597 has been reported to activate T-cells in immobilized form and has also been used for in vivo cell depletion (van der Heyde et al., 1995 and Skeen & Ziegler 1993). Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to using this clone in functional assays.
Applications
Flow Cytometry
Dilutions
Flow Cytometry: 1:5 - 1:10 Pack Size: 0.1 mgNeat Pack Size: 0.5 mg, Use 10µl of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100µl. The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR (BUF041A/BUF041B).

General Notes
Hamster anti mouse TCR a/ß, clone H57-597, recognizes the ß-chain of the murine a/ß T cell receptor and does not show any reactivity to TCR?/d (Gascoigne 1990).Clone H57-597 has been reported to activate T-cells in immobilized form (Kubo et al. 1989) and has also been used for in vivo cell depletion (van der Heyde et al., 1995 and Skeen & Ziegler 1993). Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to using this clone in functional assays.
