Nucleosomes are the smallest subunit of chromatin and are made up of 146 bp of DNA wrapped around an octamer comprised of pairs of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) (Smith, 1991). Phosphorylation of histone H2A at threonine 120 promotes oncogenic transformation in human cancer cell lines via upregulation of cyclin D1. Wide species cross-reactivity is expected from Rabbit anti Human histone H2A (pThr120) antibody based on sequence homology.
