This antibody recognises C-C motif chemokine 15 (CCL15), also known as chemokine CC-2, leukotactin-1, MIP-1 delta and MIP-5. CCL15 is a member of the macrophage inflammatory protein-1 family of cytokines. CCL15 elicits its biological function through its cell surface receptors CCR1 and CCR3. Upon binding to these receptors CCL15 can induce the activation of PLC, PKC and NF-?B signaling pathways to result in chemotaxis, protein synthesis or degranulation.
