Pemphigus is induced by autoantibody-mediated disruption of keratinocyte adhesion, implicating the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway in its pathogenesis [1]. Previous research highlights the necessity of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 3 (MKK3) and MKK6 for full p38 activation [2]. This study aims to elucidate the roles of MKK3 and MKK6 in pemphigus and evaluate their inhibition as a therapeutic approach.
