This antibody recognises nuclear receptor co-repressor 1 protein, also known as NCOR1 or KIAA1047.NCOR1 is a tumor suppressor gene, as when levels of this are reduced, there is an increase in tumor proliferation. Mutations and deletions have been seen in the NCOR1 gene in colorectal and bladder cancer.
