This antibody recognises sex hormone binding globulin, also known as Sex steroid-binding protein, Testis-specific androgen-binding protein, Testosterone-estradiol-binding globulin or Testosterone-estrogen-binding globulin. Sex hormone binding globulin is a 373 amino acid ~45 kDa plasma glycoprotein dimer. It is an androgen transport protein which binds and regulates the free concentration of steroid hormones and is involved in steroid signaling at the cell membrane. Mouse anti Human sex hormone binding globulin antibody, clone 30.6H2 does not react with human serum albumin.
