This antibody recognises transcription factor SOX11.SOX11 is a member of the group C SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) transcription factor family. Group C SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) transcription factors are involved in the regulation of embryonic development and cell fate determination. It has been suggested that SOX11 may act as a transcriptional regulator when in a complex with other proteins. SOX11 may also play a role in the development of the nervous system as well as tumorigenesis and adult neurogenesis.
