Name
Anti-TGF alpha Antibody - BSA and Azide free
Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to TGF alpha.
Specificity
This antibody recognises tranforming growth factor alpha. TGFa is a 50 amino acid EGF-related polypeptide expressed in a range of tissues, including skin, pancreas, liver, duodenum, salivary glands, urinary and respiratory systems, and the developing and mature central nervous system (CNS).TGFa is produced by monocytes, keratinocytes and neuronal cells and stimulates the proliferation of a range of epidermal and epithelial cells, through binding to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). TGFa is mitogenic for multipotent neural progenitors and is involved in astrogliosis (Junier 2000).
Applications
WB, ELISA, IHC-P, Functional Assays
Dilutions
ELISA: 0.5 - 2 µg/ml, Functional Assays: 2.5 - 3.7 µg/ml, IHC-P: 0.5 µg/ml, WB: 0.1 µg/ml - 0.2 µg/ml
