Anti-EGF Antibody (HRP)
Mouse monoclonal (KT2) antibody to EGF (HRP) from Absea Biotechnology (030105B03H).
|Name:||Anti-EGF Antibody (HRP)|
|Description:||Mouse monoclonal (KT2) antibody to EGF (HRP).|
|Immunogen:||Recombinant human EGF.|
|Amino Acid Start:||971|
|Amino Acid End:||1021|
|Purification:||IgG is purified through a Protein A column and labelled with horseradish peroxidase.|
|Concentration:||1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.01% thimerosal as a preservative.|
|Storage:||4 °C for 1 month, -20 °C or -80°C in aliquots. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.|
|Function:||EGF stimulates the growth of various epidermal and epithelial tissues in vivo and in vitro and of some fibroblasts in cell culture. Magnesiotropic hormone that stimulates magnesium reabsorption in the renal distal convoluted tubule via engagement of EGFR and activation of the magnesium channel TRPM6. Can induce neurite outgrowth in motoneurons of the pond snail Lymnaea stagnalis in vitro (PubMed:10964941).|
|Tissue Specificity:||Expressed in kidney, salivary gland, cerebrum and prostate.|
|Involvement in Disease:||Hypomagnesemia 4: A disorder characterized by massive renal hypomagnesemia and normal levels of serum calcium and calcium excretion. Clinical features include seizures, mild-to moderate psychomotor retardation, and brisk tendon reflexes.|
|Post-Translational Modification:||O-glycosylated with core 1-like and core 2-like glycans. It is uncertain if Ser-954 or Thr-955 is O-glycosylated. The modification here shows glycan heterogeneity: HexHexNAc (major) and Hex2HexNAc2 (minor).|
|Synonyms:||Beta urogastrone Antibody
Epidermal growth factor Antibody
Pro epidermal growth factor Antibody
