Name
Anti-MCP1 Antibody [AA03-4H10] (Biotin)
Description
Mouse monoclonal [AA03-4H10] antibody to MCP1 (Biotin).
Specificity
This antibody recognises C-C motif chemokine 2, also known as MCP1, HC11, and MCAF. CCL2 is a constitutively expressed chemokine, which is upregulated during the inflammatory response and promotes recruitment of immune cells to specific sites. Many cell types can produce CCL2, including endothelial, epithelial, myeloid, smooth muscle cells and fibroblasts, and CCL2 is able to recruit monocytes, basophils, T lymphocytes and NK cells. CCL2 promotes cancer development and metastasis through binding to the cognate receptor CCR2, and CCL2-CCR2 signaling has multiple tumorigenic roles. The tumor microenvironment itself produces CCL2, which facilitates the accumulation of tumor associated macrophages (TAMs), which have immune suppressive and tumor promoting functions. The biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL2 antibody, clone AA03-4H10 (MCA6219B) can be used as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the purified Mouse anti Human CCL2 antibody, clone AA07-3B8 (MCA6218GA) as the capture antibody.
