PDK1 is a master kinase involved in numerous cell processes including proliferation, differentiation and cell survival. PDK1 is crucial for the activation of AKT/PKB and many other AGC kinases including PKC, S6K, SGK.Autophosphorylation of serine 241 is required for PDK1 activity.
