|Description:||Rabbit polyclonal antibody to TIAM1.|
|Dilutions:||WB: 1:200 - 1:2000.|
|Immunogen:||Recombinant protein of human TIAM1.|
|Formulation:||Supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.30, with 0.02% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol.|
|Storage:||Shipped at 4°C. Upon delivery aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.|
|Function:||Modulates the activity of RHO-like proteins and connects extracellular signals to cytoskeletal activities. Acts as a GDP-dissociation stimulator protein that stimulates the GDP-GTP exchange activity of RHO-like GTPases and activates them. Activates RAC1, CDC42, and to a lesser extent RHOA. Required for normal cell adhesion and cell migration.|
|Tissue Specificity:||Found in virtually all analyzed tumor cell lines including B- and T-lymphomas, neuroblastomas, melanomas and carcinomas.|
|Sequence Similarities:||Belongs to the TIAM family.|
|Cellular Location:||Cell junction. Cell membrane.
Detected at the boundary between cells with actin-rich protrusions (By similarity). Presence of KRIT1, CDH5 and RAP1B is required for its localization to the cell junction.
