This antibody recognises aldosterone, a hormone produced by the adrenal glands that helps regulate blood pressure through increasing both the release of potassium and the uptake of water and sodium by the kidneys.Rabbit anti Aldosterone antibody shows <1% cross-reactivity with Androstenedione, Corticosterone, DHEA or Desoxycorticosterone, as determined using a competitive ELISA with 400ng of aldosterone-3-BSA per well. Rabbit anti Aldosterone antibody has been cross-adsorbed with BSA.
