The antibody reacts specifically with BrdU incorporated into DNA during S-phase of a cell cycle. It is useful for detecting proliferating cells by flow cytometry or immunohistochemistry staining. It cross-reacts with EdU.
Separation of human BrdU positive cells (red-filled) from cellular debris (black-dashed) in flow cytometry analysis (intracellular staining) of BrdU incorporated K562 cells stained with Anti-BrdU Antibody [Bu20a] (A86223), (concentration in sample 4 µg/ml, GAM FITC).
