This antibody recognises special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2, also known as transcription activator BRG1.SMARCA4 is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins. SWI/SNF proteins display ATPase and helicase activities and regulate gene transcription via chromatin remodelling. SMRCA4 is important for spermatogenesis and embryo development. SMARCA4 is also the most frequently mutated chromatin remodeling ATPase in cancer. Mutations in the SMARCA4 have been observed in many tumor subtypes including pancreatic cancers and some types of leukemia. Rat anti Human SMARCA4 antibody detects a band of 180 kDa.
