This antibody recognizes the extracellular glycosylated epitope 1 on human CD133, a 120 kDa glycoprotein of prominin family, expressed (for example) on progenitor cells. This antibody is important for identification of stem cells and tumor cells.
Western blotting analysis of human CD133 using Anti-CD133 Antibody [W6B3C1] (A121775) on lysates of HT29 cells and Jurkat cells (negative control) under reducing and non-reducing conditions. Nitrocellulose membrane was probed with 2 µg/ml of mouse monoclonal antibody followed by IRDye800-conjugated anti-mouse secondary antibody. CD133 was detected around 125 kDa.
