Rabbit polyclonal antibody to Mu Opioid Receptor (phospho Ser375).
Specificity
This antibody specifically targets the phosphorylated form of human Mu Opioid Receptor at residue Ser375. It detects phosphorylation induced by high- and low-efficacy agonists, but not PKC activation, in Western blot analysis. Ser375 phosphorylation regulates Mu Opioid Receptor desensitization, ß-arrestin recruitment, and internalization. It is suitable for subcellular localization by immunocytochemistry.

Immunohistochemical detection of agonist-induced Serine375 phosphorylation of µ-Opioid Receptor (Mu Opioid Receptor) in mouse spinal cord. Mice were injected subcutaneously with saline or 0.3 mg/kg fentanyl citrate for 15 min, then transcardially perfused, fixed, and stained in the presence of phosphatase and protease inhibitors. Confocal images of spinal cord coronal sections were stained with anti-Mu Opioid Receptor (phospho Ser375) antibody (A334558).
