Immunostaining of frontal cortical sections from E14.5 transgenic embryos expressing tdTomato in MGE-derived cells (Nkx2.1-Cre; Ai9 mouse strain) with anti-activated PAK3-P-Ser154 antibodies. PAK3-P-Ser154 immunoreactivity strongly labels tangentially oriented structures (F1, F2) within the intermediate zone (IZ) and subventricular zone (SVZ), where tdTomato-positive MGE-derived cells undergo tangential migration. Higher-magnification views of cortical progenitors located adjacent to the ventricle (G1–G3) show that PAK3-P-Ser154 antibodies label both the gamma-tubulin-positive centrioles (G2, G3) and the cell cortex (G1, G3) in a subset of progenitor cells.
