Anti-MAP2 Antibody (A333281)

Immunofluorescent analysis of rat brain stem section stained with Anti-MAP2 Antibody (A333281) at a dilution of 1:2,000 (red) and costained with Anti-Myelin Basic Protein Antibody [7D2] (A85329) at a dilution of 1:5,000 (green). Following transcardial perfusion of rat with 4% paraformaldehyde, brain was post fixed for 24 hours, cut to 45µM, and free-floating sections were stained with above antibodies. The Anti-MAP2 Antibody (A333281) antibody labels MAP2 protein in the perikarya and dendrites of the most neurons, notably motorneurons in the brain stem, and the MBP antibody stains myelin sheath around axons.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of a formalin fixed paraffin embedded rat hippocampus section with Anti-MAP2 Antibody (A333281) at a dilution of 1:2,000 detected with DAB (brown) using the Vector Elite ABC-HRP detection and reagents with citra buffer retrieval. Counterstained with Hematoxylin (blue). The Anti-MAP2 Antibody (A333281) labels the MAP2 protein in the somata and dendrites of most neurons.

Western blot analysis of whole brain lysates using Anti-MAP2 Antibody (A333281) at a dilution of 1:5,000 (green). The lanes contain: [Lane 1] protein standard (red), [Lane 2] rat, and [Lane 3] mouse brain lysate. A band at about 280kDa corresponds to the MAP2A and MAP2B proteins.
